During these peculiar and challenging times we'll be posting our current news and updates here to stay connected and encouraged. If you have an e-mail address we encourage you to get it to Monica at the church and you'll receive these updates in your mailbox.
Otherwise check back often and we'll try our best to keep you informed.
- Hi Good News family,
New Devotions Page:This is just a heads up to let you know that we now have a “Devotions” page on our website where we will be posting videosto help us stay connected as a church and encouraged in the Lord.
Today’s Video:Mark Cox has already put a video up for today that will remind us of God’s faithfulness for flawed people in the Exodus story. We are all wandering in uncertain terrain right now and we need these reminders of God’s purpose and plan. * If you're a parent at home trying to figure out how to shepherd your kids, this one will be particularly helpful! Check it out on our website at: https://goodnewschapel.com/devotions
For this Sunday:I’m working on a video for this Sunday with the hopes that we will set aside our regular time of worship to meet together (online) and stay anchored in His unshakable Word in this unstable world.
One anothering:Our Wednesday night class is in the middle of a study on the “one another” passages in the Scriptures. With instructions Like:
Love one another deeply from the heart. / 1 Pet. 1:22 Serve one another. / Gal. 5:13 Encourage one another. 1 Thess. 5:11 / Bear one another’s burdens. Gal. 6:2 (and about 15 more)
Seems to me this is the perfect opportunity to respond to these exhortations and exercise these gifts as we reach out, connect with, pray for, and serve one another. This would be an easy time to make it all about the kingdom of self. To default to our devotion to me, myself, and I. Would you please take a moment and let God’s Spirit stir your heart for the needs of others in your church family? Maybe that’s a phone call, or an e-mail, a moment for earnest prayer. Maybe you could pick up a few things at the store for someone who is not venturing out. Start with prayer and let Jesus lead you into the path of His generous love while you rest in His unwavering grace.
_______________________________I’ll “see” you Sunday at 10:30am
In the meantime;“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men (and women) of courage; be strong” (1 Corinthians 16:13)
Much love,Pastor Mark
